Software as a Service (SaaS) and FinTech early stage investor, Dawn Capital, has secured £165 million ($232 million) for its third fund, Dawn III.
This includes major investment from British Business Investments, the commercial arm of the British Business Bank, as well as the European Investment Fund (EIF) and new institutional and strategic investors from the US and Europe.
The new fund will focus on investments in early-stage B2B businesses that develop world-leading technology to offer both innovative offerings and massive productivity improvements.
Catherine Lewis La Torre, CEO of British Business Investments, said: “Having been a long-term investor in Dawn Capital, we are pleased to have committed to their third fund through our VC Catalyst. FinTech is a key sector for the UK economy, and we’re delighted that this investment will help more UK businesses operating in that sector to achieve their growth potential.”
